No. You choose the projects that work for you. -
No formal audition is required to become a Featured Friend. Each audio or video submission serves as your audition for that individual project.All submissions are reviewed for musical quality, technical quality, and suitability for the project. When time permits before the submission deadline, Noteworthy Philadelphia may offer feedback and allow you to submit a revised recording. Feedback and revision opportunities are not guaranteed, particularly for submissions received close to the deadline.
By submitting content, you understand that Noteworthy Philadelphia may use all, part, or none of your submission in the final video or related promotional content. Submission does not guarantee inclusion, and participants may not receive individual notification about whether or how their content is used.
Before uploading audio or video content, each participant must complete a digital permission and media-release agreement. Submissions cannot be accepted without a completed agreement.

No. You can create a strong submission with equipment you may already have, including a smartphone, headphones, natural light, and a quiet recording space. A USB microphone is helpful but not required.For the best results:
Record audio in a quiet space while listening through headphones.
Keep your phone or camera on a stable surface.
Face a window or another light source rather than standing with it behind you.
Follow the requested portrait or landscape orientation.
Make a short test recording and listen to it before completing your full take.
Submit unfiltered, unedited footage unless the project instructions say otherwise.
